Chapter 124 - A Prank? Where Is The Camera?
"Master, I am awaiting your commands," Le Fang Ling said with a solemn tone.
Nagina too had missed her feeling of sitting on her shoulder in her tiny form. Although she loved her half snake form and human form, she also felt this tiny form of he had its own charm and pros.
She too stopped her excited hissings and waited for the old man in front of her to speak. She too had been recognized by the Elder as his disciple after the short exchange she just had.
She knew she was going to be able to learn many new things, well…she did have to become cautious as to not let out her secrets out in the open.
Faced with two pair of eyes that were staring at him intensely, Master Yi Feng felt himself getting cold sweat on his back.
"Ahemm," he cleared his throat to hide his nervousness and anxiety.
Master Yi Feng had been waiting desperately for this moment of truth. He was desperate for this, well, a lot of way. While he was hoping he did not have to teach her anything, he was also equally excited to take in a new disciple.
After all, he had taken quite a liking to Le Fang Ling. He was also indeed interested in what she had shown him during the fight with Zheng Pao and the beast inside the cave.
Her immense qi control was something he had taken a great interest in to along with her five elements based spiritual roots.
It was going to be a challenge for him, but hey, what was life without some challenge and hurdle.
Now that everything was done and settled down, he sighed inside his heart as he embraced his fate of having to teach her.
Without further ado, he took out two stone slabs from his spatial ring. In a glance they looked quite ordinary, like the stone slabs that once can find on a road.
"There, catch this," he said as he threw the stone towards her. Le Fang Ling spread out her hand to hold the stone.
"Nice catch," Nagina exclaimed with bright eyes as she did a perfect catch of the stone slabs.
"Heh," Le Fang Lung scoffed feeling a little proud of herself. After all, her catch right now looked like a catch of professional baseball player.
Keeping the joke aside, she weighed the stone she was holding feeling somewhat stupid as she could guess nothing from these seemingly ordinary weighing stones.
With the wish to try again, she stopped weighing it and looked at the pair of ordinary stone slabs that were on her hands with a bit of curiosity. They looked normal, way too ordinary to the point she was having double thought about them.
But since it was her master who gave her the stones, she was pretty sure it was not something ordinary or so she thought.
"What secrets do these stones carry?" she asked as she glared at her master hoping to get some profound meaning and explanation behind the stones.
Even Nagina analyzed the stone but she could not find anything extraordinary about them.
\'Am I still too weak to see the true essence of this stone?\' she wondered to herself, feeling like a little lost lamb.
She looked at Le fang Ling and shook her head in dejection as she relayed her weakness and disability to see the true worth of the stone.
"Please say master," Le Fang Ling asked in a humble tone.
"This disciple wishes to know," she looked at the old master of hers who was stroking his beard, looking a bit amused.
"Oh, these sones are oridanry," Master Yi Feng laughed off when he saw how serious she looked when asking him the question.
"Huh? Please come again…" Le Fang Ling thought she misheard something again when she heard him say that the stones were pretty ordinary.
"I mean do you see that stair on the hill far away from here?" he asked as he pointed at the hill that had caught her eyes the moment she had stepped inside this place.
Le Fang ling and Nagina both of them nodded their head in unison as they looked at the stony staircase leading to the top of the clouded covered hill. She shuddered slightly when she looked at that place. No matter how much she tried to convince herself, she still felt there was something wrong with that place.
"This two stone slabs are from that place," he said with a chuckle upon seeing their dumbfounded faces.
These two were too sweet, well…at times.
Cough..
"I just thought they will be nice way for you to train," he said as he cleared his throat.
"Oh…" Le fang Ling continued nodding her head.
"Wait, I train with these ordinary stone?" she almost choked on her saliva when she heard him.
She looked in disbelief at the stone she was holding. There had to be some kind of joke to this entire thing, she thought to herself. She clutched the stone in her palm and started to frantically look all around.
"Hmm, is there anything the matter, host?" Nagina asked when she felt the tension on her.
"Uhh huh, I think there is a hidden camera somewhere that will say all of it was a prank," she said as she continued looking around.
"…."
There was no way she was actually going to train with a dead stone of all thing.
It felt like a scam!!
"Master, what about the spirit weapon and about my own sword?" she asked with a little dejection. She really wanted to have her own spirit weapon and master it.
"I know you cannot wait to get your own weapon spirit but," Master Yi Feng stopped himself with a big but in his statement.
"There are steps to everything," he said as he pointed at the big hill that brought forth some kind of dread in her.
"I promise that you will find your own spirit weapon by the time you are capable of reaching the peak."
